Param Pujya Gurudev Shri Pujyaji Shri Jin Chandra Suriji Maharajsahab is the present Acharya of the Khartargacch, in the lineage of Lord Mahavira, the 24th Tirthankar. Acharya Ji and the teachers he has appointed teach Satya Sadhna in India and around the world.

Biography

From a young age, Param Pujya Gurudev showed a deep inclination towards spiritual truth, renunciation (vairagya) and the welfare of all beings. Recognising the impermanence of the material world, he embraced diksha (monastic initiation) to dedicate his life entirely to the path of Lord Mahavira. Through years of dedicated study and spiritual practice, he mastered the Agamas (Jain scriptures), cultivated deep equanimity, and devoted himself to meditation and self-realisation.

Because of his deep spiritual wisdom, he was elevated to the revered position of Acharya. He is the present Gacchadhipati (head) of the Khartargacch tradition, a sacred lineage tracing back to the 24th Tirthankar, Lord Mahavira. In this tradition, shaped by the four great Dada Gurudevs between the 10th and 15th centuries, every fourth Acharya inherits the holy name of Shri Jin Chandra Suriji. Today he carries forward this 1,000-year-old legacy as Shri Pujyaji, preserving the ancient inner sciences for future generations.

Acharya Ji's main mission has been to make the science of meditation accessible to the modern world through Satya Sadhna. He travels widely across India and abroad with his appointed assistant teachers, holding 10-day residential camps, one-day courses and introductory sessions to help people overcome stress, anger and delusion.

Beyond spiritual guidance, Acharya Ji's compassion takes practical form in social upliftment. Under his inspiration, the Jain Yati Gurukul Sansthan runs Kushal Vidya Peeth, a school shaping the character and careers of children through a blend of modern education and meditation, and Kushal Aushdhalay holds regular free medical, eye and children's health check-up camps for local villages. Through his tireless work, Acharya Ji embodies the ideals of being Nirbhay (fearless), Nirvair (without enmity) and Nirlep (unattached), lighting the path to truth for thousands of seekers worldwide.
